My Plea to the Group

My Plea to the group

When we are struggling to feel the connection of the group

And no matter what we do we feel stuck in a loop

A loop filled with criticism and pain

As if something inside us had been slain  

As we fall deeper and deeper into our decent

We have to find a way to relent

And open up to the group at hand

Be truthful and honest and hear what they demand

And as they present to you their common plea

Be open and honest and listen whole heartedly

The group is the only place to truly advance

So don’t stand there holding your stance

This is where you’re ego you must nullify

Not standing there with your convictions to cry

We are all filled with this egoistic shell

This is not where we look or dwell

But only that point in the heart

This is what we connect, this is where we start

So to this group I do proclaim

My dedication as I will refrain

From my convictions which I know are all wrong

As it is to just be one with you which is where I long

Words are words and they don’t mean a thing

Actions with intention is all I wish to bring

So when your words get carried away

Just remember when the entire group is together this is when you pray
